About
A game studio in Bangkok building one title: Arventus: The Frontier Village.
The studio
Voxelwave Studio is a game studio based in Bangkok, founded by Pantakan Kanprawet. It operates as VoxelWave Studio OÜ, an Estonian private limited company, with a single full-time founder and specialists engaged on scoped contracts.
The founder’s background is seven shipped products across games, developer tooling and commercial backend systems — a Roblox battleground game, a Microsoft Marketplace theme suite, a Windows companion app for League of Legends, a cross-platform desktop launcher built in Tauri and Rust, and its licensing backend in Go, Stripe and Postgres. Each was delivered end-to-end by one person: design, frontend, backend, infrastructure, billing and deployment.
Arventus: The Frontier Village is the studio’s only title. It is an open-world RPG built on base building and an adventurer guild: the player arrives at a frontier settlement as an unknown and chooses a livelihood — a trade, a guild, a caravan route, or the underworld. Every path is a running economic loop rather than a quest chain, standing with each faction is a second currency alongside coin, and no path terminates the game.
Current milestone: procedural world and structure generation — generate the land, screen it for buildable sites, export it to a production scene, finish it by hand. The devlogs cover the work in detail.
How the studio operates
Craft over schedule
A build that ships broken costs more than one that ships late. Work is finished when it holds up, and the schedule is set against that rather than the reverse.
No dark patterns
No manufactured urgency, no surprise charges, no upsells. A player should finish a session and consider the money well spent.
One title at a time
Arventus is the studio’s entire focus until it ships. Prior products remain available to their users and are not in active development.
State what is unfinished
Development notes name what is still unimplemented or untested alongside what works, and published performance figures carry the fixture they were measured on.
Working model
One full-time operator
The founder covers design, engineering, art direction, marketing, support and operations. Specialists are brought in per milestone.
Scope-based hires
No full-time employees. When the studio needs more hands, a milestone is scoped, agreed in writing, and paid on completion. Open roles are on the hiring page.
Async, recorded, documented
No required office and no required timezone. Work happens in writing; the few synchronous sessions that run are recorded. A new collaborator can get current by reading the decision record.
Measured, not estimated
Performance claims carry numbers and the fixture they were measured on. Where a system has not been measured, the note says so.
Corporate
Voxelwave Studio is the brand. The legal entity is VoxelWave Studio OÜ, an Estonian private limited company (osaühing) incorporated through the e-Residency programme in January 2026, registry code 17417678. The OÜ holds all intellectual property, all contracts and all revenue. Stage, team, technology, roadmap and funding are set out on the investor relations page.
